these past few days, i have had no desire to blog at all. i mean, there was alot to write about but there was just no motivation to write. but i must say that friday and saturday were some interesting days...

thursday...

phil finally discusses with annie. reformed vs. unreformed. many questions. many explanations. i think it was a very beneficial discussion for the two of us. may God have been glorified.

friday...

One Voice Conference Day #1. lots of different churches. AWESOME praise band! i mean dang. i haven't heard something that good since like the big CCM thing but that doesn't count. i met a few people that night like susan from ccm. wow, she's a first year! and wow, her older sister is the JDSN of the elementary kids! i thought she was like a third year or something. it's so weird how so many people that i don't know recognize me when they see me a second time. "oh, you came out to ccm right?" "hey, i saw you in that discussion." yes i know, it's my stupid hair. i guess it really stands out to everyone....or perhaps i just have a dashing smile with a very good looking body. lol. good one phil. that night was concluded with In N' Out and Naruto at aaron's place. man, that fool lives pretty far but he really has a bomb room.

saturday...

One Voice Conference Day #2. before we got to church, me, dykas, aaron, and old phil got some VIP. man, dykas eats so much now! i remember when he use to marvel at my abnormal eating habits back in high school. clearly, and i mean CLEARLY, the tables have turned 180! he finishes his food before everyone else...that's after rice too. after i can't finish my stuff, he gets the rest of the rice and cleans up my bowl. while he's complaining about how full he is, he reaches over to get another deep fried shrimp and some sweet and sour pork. *tears* he makes me so proud! and he's so humble about it, telling us that he's "just hungry." lol.

day 2 was much better than day 1, mainly b/c of the seminars. the first seminar was Covenant & Missions. it sounds like a really dull topic but the speaker made things really clear and simple. i really liked this message b/c he went over such a "hard" topic in 40 min. but did much justice to covenant theology. a very nice guy. the second seminar was "Are You Gifted?" now this guy was just awesome! really REALLY eloquent and intellectual. he was a very honest and blunt man, confessing all of his sins and struggles. "i hate evangelism. i know you hate it too." lol. but at the same time, he went over many important issues over spiritual gifts. he gave very clear examples and his material was obviously reformed stuff. i really liked him. i think everyone did.

so during dinner time, i ate with pastor jason kim. man, that guy just doesn't seem like a pastor to me. i talk to him like he's my friend or something. but it was good seeing him AGAIN. i met a good number of people from other churches so that was pretty cool. it's cool how the churches have different personalities yet we're still united as a presbytery you know? gosh, i pity every person who missed this conference. i really felt that this was one crucial event....an annual event in fact! yeah, it was kinda unfortunate that alotta cpc people didn't come out. however, i think it turned out to be ALOT better than i expected. the best way to express this conference would have to be BLESSED BE YOUR NAME!

i also got to meet some yg kids! i talked to a senior named ed, a sophomore named andrew, and elisa's younger sister, eunice! gosh, after looking at her up close, she looks more like a mixture of mariela and elisa. she's got elisa's outer appearance (hair, face shape, etc.) but mariela's face! it was very interesting. it's kinda like the women's banquet's "what if they mated." haha. i was telling her how it was kinda weird how i was the same age as her sister and that she was the same age as my brother. "if only you had an older brother then we'd be exactly the same!" haha. so cute. "you'd better say hi to me and not pretend that you don't know me!" i like her much better than her sisters.

man, old phil is REALLY passionate about the Angels. he absolutely LOVES annoying me and dykas....

(in his car).
phil: hey guys, like my new hat?
(holds up a Jack in the Box head with an Angels' hat).
me and dykas: OOOOOOH MY!

(passing by Angels' stadium).
phil: hey guys, it's the home of the champions! salute!
me and dykas: OMG!

(after worship).
phil: hey guys, look at the transparency.
(flashes a website of Angels' article).
me: DUDE!

(this was a while back).
phil: hey, you guys like my new bag?
(big Angels' logo).

and this guy is our clusters leader. he ALWAYS says something about the Giants or the Angels. but i have to admit, it's pretty freakin' funny. haha.

after phil dropped us off, me, dykas, and aaron watched My Sassy Girl b/c aaron never saw it. man, i've seen this movie AT LEAST 10 times! me and dykas, so many times. gosh, it's just such a good movie you know? i was pretty glad that aaron enjoyed the movie. i know that fool is gonna have dreams tonight or something. haha. man, i think the three of us are getting closer. we've been chilling alot after church, going to arc, watching anime, eating food, etc.. jeah!

so while i was watching the movie, my dad calls me and tells me that my brother needs a new computer. we talked about it for a little bit and i was just telling him how church is really good and college is alotta fun. he was telling me that my voice sounded much brighter than usual so i thought that was kinda interesting. i mean, i guess it is true. i may not appear to be really happy but really, my thoughts and feelings have been quite content. it's like that peace you have when a christian is living an obedient life. man, it's crazy how much we symbolize Israel in the Old Testament.

after spring break, the hair's gonna change. inspirations from annie chung, dykas lee, aaron hahn, and all the other people who told me the same thing in high school.
