wednesday: study study study! sometimes, i surprise myself when i see how hard i push myself in my studies. when i really need to get something done, I GET THAT SUCKER DONE! i didn't think i was going to make it to CCM, but i actually finished all of my material and made it in time for praise. so i guess i'm gonna start going out to CCM. it's pretty cool cause i actually know a handful of people there: gum, sharon, ron, david, john, and kevin. irvine guys: jay, simon, chris, arthur, aaron, dykas. i also know joe and leonard. wow, that's cool.

so after the ccm thing, i see david and john at the top.

david: hey, i didn't know you came out here!
me: yeah, this is like my third time here.
david: yeah dude, i was sitting at the top and i saw this guy with really cool hair.
me: yeah, i know it stands out alot. i think i'm gonna cut it soon.
david: no! it's really cool! it's all yellow and long. you're different from everyone else! just keep it til this quarter.
me: hehe, ok thanks.

and i met sharon's friend, simone. i don't know if it's a nickname, a joke, or both. but yeah, she's a girl and i said wassup to her. all these upperclassmen know me but i don't know them. "hey phil!" "bye phil!" "oh hey you....jamie? grace or something? ok bye!"

so i come back from the arc and find my dormmates drinking again. only this time, i see chris and norman drunk?! "this one's for christine!" i have to admit, it was one funny site but nevertheless, quite disappointing. those guys NEVER gave into drinking and here they were, calling shots and stumbling in the hall. man, i know so much how it feels. the pressure. the temptation. *sigh* the fun. i'll let this one slide but if i see those guys messed up again, i'll have a little chatsy with them. stupid minh, throwing up on the ground. i hate that bastard!

so there's this guy named richard in my korean class. i thought he was a first year but i recently found out that he was a fourth year or something. anyways, this guy is a really funny guy. he's not goofy or humorous, but it's his character and responses that he gives in class. he doesn't like to talk in class and hates writing on the board. he always asks questions in english and ironically, takes notes ALL THE TIME! i don't know, you have to be in our class to understand him....

teacher: so what don't you like to eat? (in korean).
richard: uh, i like to eat bool-go-gee. but i don't like that gal-bee stuff.
teacher: really? why? it's the best korean food! (in korean).
richard: no, it's like too chewy and stuff.
class: ahahahahahahahah.

after korean class, i did my in-class essay for my writing class. man, that crap was so hard. i didn't get to write my conclusion and all of my body paragraphs were crap. i wrapped up that stressful class by receiving a C+ on my last paper. bummer. a little unhappy yet content with my efforts. Blessed be the name of the Lord!

so tonight, there were two pool tournaments at zotzone. one was sponsored by ASUCI (some frat) and the regular zotzone one. since the frat tourney was free and the prize was $100, i joined both! my goodness, playing two tournaments is one tough sucker! i was at zotzone from 6:30-11:30, playing the whole freakin' time! once you're done with one round, you gotta play another round from the other tournament. but the thing was, God really blessed me in oh so many games! i can't describe how lucky i was tonight...all of the chokes and great setups that were given to me. gosh, in the first tourney, i went all the way to the championship! unfortunately, i lost to the guy (actually Middle Earth's #1 player). hideo thought the guy really sucked but i thought he was pretty freakin' consistent. *shrug* but gosh, i continued to play in the other tournament. round after round, i won and won and won! it was ridiculous. believe it or not, i won 1st place! i mean, these fools were GOOD but i don't think they really cared about the tournament so they were kinda messing around with me. it's all gravy though. i've never actually WON a tournament before. gosh, i don't know what it was. throughout my games, i asked God to be glorified whether i won or lost. and by His grace, he blessed every one of them. PRAISE GOD!

man, i really wanna play with jonna.
