i met up with pastor dennis today. it was cool just having a nice chat with him at Cornerstone Cafe. we talked about church, campus ministries, and of course DA GIANTS!!! i always forget that he's from up north so it's pretty cool talking to him. we were talking about how cool it'd be if the Giants made it to the World Series and stuff. gosh, that'd be so dope! i think P. Dennis is doing what PJ was talking about, how he would visit the different campuses like mills and lowell. dennis visits all the UC's like SD, Irvine, and LA. what a nice guy.

as i was playing pingpong today, i saw this girl playing air hockey next to our table. she looked pretty cute and i kept stealing glances at her. then i heard her friend say her name, Cheryl. *trigger* i went to elementary school with a Cheryl before. this girl was pretty short and from far away kinda looked like her. could this be the same Cheryl? i hadn't seen her since 4th grade and supposedly she turned "hecka fine" in high school. then i heard her talk to her friend and she had this REALLY REALLY high squeaky mouse voice that definitely sounded like her when she was in 4th grade. so i go up to her and ask her if she was from up north. ouch! not so fine up close. cute but not THAT pretty. but yeah, it ended up being the same Cheryl that i knew from over 8 years ago. what a coincidence. it's funny how you expect people you haven't seen in a long time to remain exactly the same. unfortunately, us humans go through things called middle school and high school. it jacks everything up. she looked very....uh, what's the right word? i don't wanna say slutty or scandalous. i guess a nicer word would be "presentable" or "conspicuous." haha. a strong explanation with no harm done....unless she reads this. *ahem*

but anyways, i played this one korean guy and he was pretty freakin' good. white people have their own style. chinese people have their own style. gosh, but i think korean people really stand out. i can't explain it. we're just different you know? at least, i think so. well, we played 3 sets and i only won one. but since i played really well, he told me he was going to start coming out more often. we introduced ourselves and shook hands. yeah, pretty cool.

i finally had Del Taco for the first time. gosh, it is sooooooo much better than Taco Bell! i had the Macho Burrito thing deal. gosh dang, so good! so filling at such a slim price! chang, i can't believe you'd deprive me of such food. to you nor. cal folks, go try it for goodness sakes! go now. shoo! off you go!

tonight was our first Clusters meeting. Clusters is basically a small group meeting you have every week with the church people that go to the same church. it's like an accountability group where we discuss different issues or read a book together. i like my clusters group. they're really nice and fun to be with. haha. watching tv with these guys is soooooo fun! they make like the funniest comments. Smallville would normally piss me off but tonight, it was actually entertaining. oh yeah, and the leader's name is Phil Chung too. yeah, the whole college group gets a kick out of it. they think it's like the funniest thing in the world. *shrug* it's just a coincidence to me. there's a guy named Simon in our group. i find that to be funnier. but the whole Phil Chung thing is just whatever. oh yeah, he went to Berkeley and KCPC too.

i think i'm starting to gain my freshmen 15. when i looked at pictures in my wallet and compared it the mirror, my face looked a lot bigger. man, such a big change in so little time.

cathy: phil, did your face get bigger from the last time i saw you?
me: what's that supposed to mean?
cathy: oh nevermind.
me: what's that suppposed to mean?
cathy: don't worry, it looks cute.

"did your face get bigger?" gosh dang. i've never heard such a comment. argh! the food is so unhealthy here and i'm always hungry. what am i supposed to do?!
