"I'm late! I'm late! For a very important date! No time to say hello, goodbye! I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!"
I recently rewatched "Alice in Wonderland" after not seeing it since I was in elementary school. As I was watching the White Rabbit in action, I couldn't help but empathize with the poor guy. I don't know how many times I look at my watch everyday as I'm riding the subway or bus. I HATE running to my next student's house after being late for my first one. Time truly is money, and I hate it. Today, Jaunty told me that I'm working too much. Coming from him, for some reason, it really hit home. Too bad I'm not going to do anything about it.
I finished reading "Animal Farm" today. It's amazing how George Orwell was able to depict our current North Korea so accurately. My favorite quote from the book comes from the very last paragraph at the end:
"Twelve voices were shouting in anger, and they were all alike. No question, now, what had happened to the faces of the pigs. The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which."
But still, this comrade had no game on "1984."
I'm going to start reading "Mythology" since I never really read the stories when I was younger. I actually had it for summer reading for 9th grade English honors, but that also was the year that I decided to not believe in studying during the summer. I am still an avid advocate against summer school.
*I never ended up taking English honors because of that book.
On IMDB with less than 3,000 votes, this movie got a 5.8 rating. I'm so sad that this movie sucks. I'm even sadder that I can't even watch this sucky movie.
Whenever a mom texts me to cancel class, I always respond with "네 알겠습니다," but what I really want to write is "감사합니다!!!" It's nice to eat dinner at home.
