psych. midterm was crucial! pretty hard stuff. i totally disregarded the labeling parts so i'm gonna lose mega points for that. (haha, i said "mega."). man, this morning was no happy morning for me. last night, i decided to go to bed at 1:35. after much commotion from dormmates, i got out of bed at 3. i didn't fall asleep til like past 4? man, willburt and minh were getting a kick out of burning lint off of our socks. first socks. then slippers. then minh's shirt. lol. that's right. i only got 2 1/2 hours of sleep last night! man, it's really hard taking tests when your eyes are constantly closing on you.

mind: man! so many hard questions! so many possible answers! let's just circle a couple of C's here and a few B's there. gotta get back into bed while it's still warm!

so i'm in bed by 9 but don't fall asleep again til 10:30. just a little over an hour of sleep. definitely not a happy camper.

after such a long and fatigued day, i went to Clusters. man, these small group meetings seriously NEVER let me down! i am seriously blessed with so many good people that can turn my day of malice into a day of laughter. so we're pairing up with people to have a time of prayer and stuff and i end up with Arthur. CRAP! of all of the irvine guys, i get the loud one. haha. but we actually ended up having a pretty good talk. man, that guy is such a liberal christian. he's like soooo chill in terms of christian liberty. geez! but surprisingly, i received some good advice from such a person as Arthur.

as we were sharing today, everyone complained about how they were always tired and how everything just kinda sucked. however, Chris shared that everything was just fine and dandy in his life. he didn't do so well on his midterm but he was cool about it. he was just happy with how everything was going. no he was not apathetic. he was trusting in God's sovereignty. old phil explained to us that we tend to only go to God when we're doing bad. we're only happy when everything is going smooth. however, this should not be the case! we ought to be happy in all circumstances! this does not mean to be happy when you fail a midterm. but what it means is that we do not let these things get to us. it is when we are discontent about a grade, we put studies before God. what a good reminder!

so after Clusters, we all went to go eat some pho. *sigh* not too happy about the idea but i was willing to eat. man, phil was talking about how earlier that day, he had already eaten pho for lunch. however today, he got tired and impatient with the small spoon for the soup so he asked the waiter for a straw!!! ahahhahahhaha. freakin' sick! drinking pho juice out of a straw, now that's hardcore! (shaking head). freakin' berkeley people.

oh today, simon (irvine) was telling me and dykas about how his friend's roommate went into Albertson's to buy some stuff. while she was in line, the guy in front of her was short a few dollars so she offered a few dollars to help him out. on the way out, the man asked her why she did that and she just told him it was no big deal or something. he tells her, "don't drink Pepsi." and leaves. later, the girl indentifies the man who turns out to be one of the Middle Eastern terrorists!
