yesterday, i got my new chess set at Kay-Bee for 20 bucks. it's just like PJ's except the board is smaller, the squares are brown and white, and the pieces are smaller and made out of plastic (wanna trade PJ?). gosh, i seriously HATE playing chess with simon! that stupid kid is either really good or i just suck like a mother...or maybe even both! he beat me three times and this is how our third game went:

Simon: check!
i move.
Simon: check!
i move.
Simon: check!
(pause).
he smiles. i look at him. then he explodes with laughter!
Simon: CHECKMATE! AAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!
i stare at the board.

pitiful is it not?
